I am home from SURGERY...
Hello all. I am awake enough to post this morning. I went into surgery about 10:30 am yesterday and got out after noon. I am a quit bit of pain this morning. I had major gas pain in my upper right shoulder since yesterday which makes it kinda hard to breath. As long as I stay on my pain medicine, I can't really feel it. I feel it though when it wares off, boy or boy do I feel it...lol. But I will make it. It's weird, I am in more pain from this than my bypass surgery...lol.
I have 4 small incisions. 3 on my right side of my tunny and one inside my belly button. I have some oozing in my belly button, but that has pretty much stopped. The Dr. said I did just fine. I came home last night and weighed myself. About crapped my pants!! It said I went from 189 to 199!! I am still that this morning. But that is from all the fluid and gas. I am keeping food down now also. But the only things I have eaten are graham crackers and bananas. I will try more solid food tomorrow.
Thank you all for your support and please do not hesitate to give me a call if you wish. I would LOVE to hear from any of you! My home phone number is 717-691-1334. I will be home the rest of the week.
Erin
Welcome home Erin! I'm glad to hear that you're doing well, for the most part. So what all did you have done, just a TT? Do you know how much they removed or how much it all weighed? Well, I'm sure that gain is just from all of the IV fluids you had (I did the same thing when I had the RNY, gained 10 pounds!). I hope you heal fast and feel better everyday!

I just found out I have to have my gallbladder out. I am two months post-op and eat about twice a day, because I feel like I'm going to throw up if I'm not actually doing it. My primary care dr. made the referral to the surgeon, so I can call tomorrow to set up an appt. I just had a few questions for you. Were you just in the hospital one night? How are you feeling now? Why did you have it taken out? I have to have mine out because it's full of sludge, and nothing goes in or out. I hate the idea of another surgery, but I would love to be able to eat at least what I'm supposed to be eating.
Thanks, Amy
