Do you find that being a lightweight makes it easier or harder (from what you have seen/heard) easier or harder to lose the weight? What was/is/will be your best technique to jump starting and maintaining weight loss?

Hi Jennifer, I'm by far not a lightweight, but I've been reading this board for months now. From what I've read, lightweights do lose weight slower compared to heavier people. But I've also read of heavier people losing at a slow rate as well. My best advice is to just take one day at a time, do what your surgeon instructed, and stay off the scales as much as possible. You'll eventually reach your goal good luck! april

I have read on the main board a few times that being a lightweight you may lose a little slower because you do not have as much to lose. I was considered a lightweight and well I think I'm losing fast...just about 4 months out and 80 pounds already! Jessica
