Ok, so I know this is a LONG way from now... but I got thinking about this tonight and thought I would post and see what your opinions are. I am single... part of the reason being I am very uncomfortable with my weight. Now, after it is all done, I am guessing I will have some major skin issues... also not attractive. I guess I just know that if I do start dating, I am worried that I will again hold myself back because I will be uncomfortable with all the skin/the way I look. Have you all had any experiences with this?

I have not MM but i think about them too. I am nervous about it also. I have talked to my Dr about it. The new insurance i switched over too will cover my arms and stomach once i have reached goal and stayed there for 4-5months. but i have also been looking into a Dr in PA names Dr Hurwitz that does the head to toe body lift for WLS. There is a few in chat that have had it done by him and some getting ready to. So as for now i am looking towards him and then would have to pay difference out of pocket. but girl keep up the good work. i know what ya mean i was worried after my son i was so fat from all the steriods i was on that i didn't think i would find any man to date me or ect. and now i am married. Not all men love skinny hollow women. some actually have morals and heart and want one for her not Her "looks" good luck. email me if ya ever need to talk Nikki in ny

I was always worried about that too. But it all goes back to if that person really cares about you it will not matter. I got engaged a few mos ago, and he wasn't bothered by my excess skin .. nor was he bothered my before pictures. He says, "I think you was just as beautiful then." I was all set to have ps, but we decided to get married in Sept; so I am putting that off for awhile. The main reason I got the surgery was to be in better health & now I am. So that is what's most important ... yeah I'd love to not have these flabby arms showing, but I can deal with that. It's not such a big deal, because if someone really loves you - then that won't matter to them at all.

I think dating all comes down to confidence. Since I was 10 I've been overweight, so all through my dating years I was overweight. I'd go to bars with much smaller friends and guys would approach me before my friends. The only thing I can figure is I had a lot more self confidence than my friends. I'm now married so my dating days are over. If you have confidence and find the right guy it should not be a problem. If it is a problem it's the wrong guy. Get out there. Know that you are beautiful and let it show. Amy
