i've crossed a milestone ladies (drum roll please) and bought my first sized 16 jeans at old navy this evening. it was a perfect valentine's day gift to myself i think. i started my journey in size 24/26 and i can't remember the last time i was a 16. maybe 7 years ago? it's only been 4 months since my surgery and i'm seeing nothing but great things ahead! -kari

Congratulations!!! I can't wait until I can buy old navy clothes. I am in a 24/26 now and I can't even imagine what it is like to be in a 16. I swear I went right from little kid clothes right to size 22. And I love old navy. I buy their mens shirts because that is the only thing I can fit. Anyway, congrats again.

i don't know if an old navy near you has this, but my store has a plus-sized section. i'm thrilled to be too small for the plus size section (finally) so i don't even browse in there...i haven't checked to see how high the sizes go, but i do know that a plus-sized 20 was bigger than a size 20 (same style pant) i grabbed in the "normal" section.

wow, congrats!!! I can't wait to quit shopping at Lane Bryant *puke* I have been avoiding going there for quite sometime, I actually tried to get a job there (big girl + fashion degree = shoe in) well... not so much. They hired some skinny girl! WTF! Hahahaha, well enjoy the 16s, and hopefully you won't be in them for long

that is so crazy. when i shopped at lane bryant (and i spent much $$ there over the years) i was always happy to see plus-sized sales staff. they understood so much more than the skinny chicks when i'd ask for help with different sizes and styles. but seriously, i'm so looking forward to establishing my own sense of style that's not dependent on whats available in my size. i may never wear lane bryant again!

Congrats! OMG..the day I don't have to spend $50 for a pair of jeans at Lane Bryant will be a miracle. I can't wait to be able to shop at cheaper stores for "normal" sizes. I wasn't too crazy with some of the plus size options at Old Navy. The tops seemed kinda small, and the pants are all funky feeling. Anywho...congrats and good luck!
