Pain in my side

I am 7 weeks post-op and am having a shooting pain in my lower left side. I don't think I have strained anything. The pain comes and goes, like it is flaring up. Anyone experienced this? What is it?

If you dont think you strained anything you really should call your dr. Its better to be cautious and have it be nothing than to ignore it and find out its something serious!! sarah

i had lower right side pain about a month out and when i talked to my doctor he said it was sore trunk muscles getting used to my changing center of balence. they went away after 2-3 weeks but i've had other sore muscles come and go in different places since. it's a little early for gallstones and most surgeons have you on some anti-gallstone meds for the first 6 months, but check with your doc to be safe.

I had the same pain...lower left side....my doctor sent me in for x-rays and a bariam swallow...everything came back normal so I never figured out what it was...still comes and goes...usually if I eat too much.
