I am new to this particular board. I post on all others, but find out everyday that there is another one. Anyway, I am 25 years old, 205 lbs, and I have a date for February 1st. I am overly excited. I can't express how blessed I am to be able to have this surgery. I have PCOS and chronic lower back pain for the past 12-14 years. I have always been a thick girl coming up. I was never skinny. I am just blessed to have the opportunity to reverse these 2 main issues that I have been dealing with for as long as I can remember. Well I'll continue to read your post, and I'll post again later. Thanks.

Welcome to the board!! Heck... after losing 140 lbs I'm at 203. I hope this surgery will help the problems. I can be honest that I have more back pain now than I've ever had in the past. Its weird but very true. As well as my PCOS is no better. I could be weird but I've noticed no difference. I hope this surgery helkps. Please post any questions that you have. Faith 350/203/159

I'm happy to report that 3 mo. out from WLS and after a loss of only 47 lbs. my PCOS is actually getting better and my period is becoming regular again. But then, I had PCOS for just 2-3 years before getting the surgery. I wonder if the longer one has it, the less it's affected by weight?
