Sex and drinking

I thought that topic might make you look, but I do have two questions. How long after surgery can you get back to normal sexual activity. My husband is more concerned about this than I am. I had a c-section, so I'm asuming it's about the same amount of time. Also, I enjoy drinking with my friends every once in a while. Is that still possible after surgery? I realize not right away, but down the road a little.

My doc said as soon as I was ready. I personally waited a month before me and my fiance' started having sex. As for drinking I just started to drin****asionally at a year out. I am glad I waited because drinking can make you hit plateaus and because you are losing so much weight during the 1st year, your liver really takes a beating. I would suggest waiting. Also, it only take 1 white russian to get my buzzed, 2-3 to get me drunk. It is definitely a lot more fun since it takes so much less to feel it. But it also wears off quicker. Well I guess I should get all my drinking in now. I have a one year old so I don't get to drink often, but I think the next couple weekends I will. I had never thought about how hard all the other organs are working that first year. By the way you look great. I checked out your profile, and it makes me so excited to have my surgery. Amy

Thanks! Yeah, I would suggest getting the drinking in now and go out and have fun. I can totally relate to having a child and not being able to get out there to have some fun. But, it's all worth it. Best of luck to you!!! ~Jenn

Okay, sadly I cannot comment on the sex question because I'm not getting any right now. But, I enjoyed two martinis on my birthday about 9 weeks after my surgery. I'm sure my doctor wouldn't be thrilled about it but I did fine. Got a little tipsy (yea) but it went away fast (bummer). No tummy upsets or dumping. -Kari

Hey I am over a yer out and I have done a little of both I didn't have sex for about a month after surgery and I did not try and drink for about 4-6 months and then I took it really slow I only drink beer so but it did notr cause any stomach upset or anything and I am gone after 4 tippsy after one. I do this reraly though b/c I know it is hard on my body! My only thing is that after drinking the next more is a little rough not hang over but stomach upset like diarrhea upset.
