Hernia repair scheduled....

Hi Everyone, I just found out today that I do have a hernia. I'm a little worried and scared. I've never had to deal with this before and don't know what to expect. What will the outcome be? What should I expect? Is this painful after the surgery? If someone could shed some light on this and help relieve my worries I would greatly appreciate it. And please be honest. Tifani, My father just had a hernia repair a few months ago. He is 2 years out from gastric bypass (gb) surgery and down 121 lbs. He said it wasn't nearly as painful as the full and open gb. He had his dr. do a tummy tuck at the same time. I am not sure if that is an option for you, but you might want to look into it. Did you do a search on here for hernia? There may be some info there.
