14 inch cut!!

Tummy tuck is in 4 days!!! not too sure how I feel about havinf a 14 inch cut on my belly!!! I quit smoking like a champ!! to help my healing process. all the people(heavy or formerly heavy) said that they would gladly trade in a flab of fat/skin for a 14 inch cut...not like I'm thinking about struttin' in a bikini but DAMN a 14 inch cut is a BIG cut!! Tell me what you all think. please and thanks!

Congrats on your upcoming TT. You'll pull thru like a champ. Great job on the smoking...that's what I need to start working on!!! 14 inches is big...but will it shrink and fad out over time? Look on the bright side, you'll most likely be able to buy smaller pants yet after losing all of that extra skin. I wish you luck. Kimmie

you can use mederma scar cream religously if you're really that concerned, it helps reduce scaring. most of the ladies in my support group wear their scars with pride though. and some have even tatooed over them. i'm going the mederma route for my five little scars from WLS because i'm not yet ready to embrace permanent marks on my pasty white skin. but maybe in a year i'll change my ming. you can buy it any pharmacy.
