Hello to everyone! I am exactly 2 weeks and 4 days post op and I feel better. Still a little tired but I know that will change soon. My problem is my protein. I feel so overwhelmed geting in 64 oz. of water and protein and I have neglected protein! I know that this is bad. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should do to get them in? Thanks and I hope all is well!!!!!! Finda Nessy

NECTAR fuzzy navel can be picked up at Vitamin Shoppe! Love the stuff. Tastes like orange juice to me. I can easily get my protein in drinking it because I LOVE orange juice! Will taste little powdery at first, but you overcome...it's just thicker than an average drink of orange.

I had a similar problem, I got all my protein in, but I hated every minute of it! I couldn't find a protein drink out there that I liked and didn't make me feel like crap after I was all done. I am 6 weeks post-op and still supplement with a product called Profect. ( you can often find the advertisement on flashing around on the message boards. It's a little pricey, but it has really gotten me through. It's only 2.7 ounces per drink, it tastes real sweet with no protein taste at all and comes in 4 or 5 flavors. I like Fresh Citrus Berry and Blue Rasberry Swirl. It also only has 100 calories, 0 fat and 25 grams of protein! http://protica.com/order.htm is the website... Although I have recently began buying it at Ubid.com.. Just type in keyword Protica. I have also heard a rumor that if you email through the website they will send a free sample so you can try it out. I love the stuff and it's been a true lifesaver for me and my protein goal! Good luck. 273/239.5/135

I was wondering if anyone had tried that product I always see on the top of the boards. I drank NECTAR roadside lemonade immediately post op... it's ok.. kind of like a foamy lemon beverage. I might have to give it a try.

i had the exact same problem. all the drinks i sampled tasted overly sweet or were massive quantities. so i use maxpro from max muscle. it dissolves completely in liquid (no grainy bits!) and a full scoop can be mixed into only 6 ounces of water (or lactaid milk*) for 30 grams of protein. * i mix with lactaid milk for an extra 6 grams of protein (36 grams/shake)

Hey Nessy, I drink Isopure zero carbs. They have 40 grams of protein for a 20oz bottle the come in different flavors and can be purchased at GNC. The taste pretty go a very mild aftertaste. Adam
