Scalp Question?

My scalp itches bad. Has anyone else experienced this after surgery. I'm four weeks out today and it started about three days ago. It is driving me crazy.

i don't know why that is but i'm not as far out as you are. um, there's no chance you've had a haircut recently? because you may have contracted lice. i got it once from a haircut many years ago. it's yucky.

Thanks but that's not it no haircut, and I've already checked that. And several people on other boards have responded saying they are experiencing the same thing, but no one has a reason. I guess it's just part of it. Tina

it's probably just really dry skin that has effected your scalp. you could dry any of the dandruff-type shampoos to see if that would help. good luck!

I think it's dry scalp too. I'm using a dandruff shampoo and it helps for a little while after I wa**** but it always comes back. Hopefully it will pass. Thanks, Tina

Try a shampoo and conditioner with Tea Tree oil in it. Paul Mitchell makes a great one (comes in greeen bottles). It will help with the moisture loss and soothe the scalp. This is what my stylist told me, and it helped a lot. Also, my dog has bad skin.. it gets very dry and itchy and I use a dog tea tree shampoo on him and its the only thing that helps... better than the stuff at the Vet's.
