So anyhow... I'm wanting to start doing sit-ups. And wanting to figure out more excercises I can do to tighten my stomach muscles up. What kind of excercises are you all doing?

Hey Missy, Pilates is a great work out for your core That's fancy for tummy and back muscles! I do water aerobics too and that helps because its tough to balance in the water so it activates the tummy muscles. If you do any exercise and you hold those muscles in tight it will give them a good workout. Also i love my bellydancing class. So fun! There are bellydancing videos if you aren't at a gym where they have those classes Hugs, Sara

Its weird that you meantion bellydancing. I was just thinking about that today how I'd like to learn to bellydance. Do you do the water aerobics at your local YMCA? Thats what I'm considering doing. I'm a huge water fanatic (soon I won't be so "huge" ) so that would be something that I'm sure I'd love.... I just gotta call and see about getting a discounted rate or something... anyhow... thanks ladies for your ideas.... all are appreciated!!!!!!!

I've been wanting to try belly dancing for a while now. I found some videos online to buy, but before I do, I'm gonna try them out and rent them from blockbuster online first just to make sure I'm going to like it. I can't wait until they get here! -Lynn Lap RNY 8-15-05 297/255/150

here's a great one! got one of those exercise balls. lay face down on it and secure your feet on the wall. put your hands on the back of your head and do sit ups...but bending down and then pulling yourself up. It's really a standard ball exercise ball. All exercise balls come with a few suggestions. Good Luck!!

LOL, I thought the same thing when I first bought and exercise ball 2 years ago! At the time, I weighed about 300 lbs and it held me up and didn't pop or anything. I loved it and still do! Don't be scared, you'll be fine -LYnn Lap RNY 8-16-05 297/254/140
