Loss of appetite/Concerta

Hey all...I'm new on this board, but thought I'd toss a question out there for you all. I'm a little over a month out from surgery, and down 30 lbs as of today. WOO HOO! Anyway, before surgery, my doctor put me on Prozac for depression. It's doing pretty well, but then last week, he re-diagnosed me as having ADD, and put me on Concerta. Which is fine and good. It's good to have focus and the ability to concentrate, but.....here's the catch. I started the meds yesterday and haven't been able to keep anything down. I'm just not hungry, but am having to force myself to eat to get my daily protein content. But my body is refusing to absorb it, causing me to throw it back up. I had a piece of cheese yesterday that I managed to keep down, and a bite of deli ham this morning. Other than that, I've only had water. I don't want to become dehydrated!! Have any of you had this issue (with or without medication), and what did you do? I've lost 3 lbs the past two days because of this, and while seeing the numbers on the scale shrink is encouraging, I want to be healthy more than anything. Thanks for any input! -M. Whitney
