just wondering if anyone with significant weight loss noticed their skin clearing up? i'm in my late 20s but occasional breakouts are still a problem, not like the teen years, but wasn't acne supposed to be just a teenage deal?

Kari, Break outs are caused by a lot of things. Hormones, stress, dirt and bacteria, etc... I'm sure your hormones evened out after loosing weight. Just keep cleansing and moisturizing and you should be good to go. Of course your going to have occasional break outs everyone does.

i agree that it van be allot of things but as far as weight loss, when your on a diet or post op you dont eat all those oily and fatty foods which could clear your skin, just my 2 cents hehehe take care

Not to sound like an infomercial but PROACTIV really works. It took me about a year to decide to use it. My skin has cleared up and I have had no problems. I used to have tiny red bumps and a new pimple every day, now nothing...zelch...all gone. I haven't had the surgery yet and I am sure diet can play a major role in your skin- but PROACTIV is a miracle. You must be sure to use it dilegently every morning and night otherwise all the bad stuff comes out and you will break out. You can check it out on QVC.COM- that's where I get it at. Good luck!

thanks for all the advice, i'll be checking out that proactive stuff again(tried it earlier in life but found it too harsh, maybe a second go would be better). i've got WLS in two weeks or so (yea!) so hopefully my dietary changes will show on my face as well as body!

I am 7 months post op... I had horrible skin before surgery... now I've been tld by a few people that I have the prettiest complextion. Make sure though that you are getting all your water in. Its way important in the skin department.
