Hey everyone. I just wanted let everyone know that my surgery went well. No complications so far. I had surgery on Monday the 22nd and was released from the hospital Wednesday evening. I was so sore and tired the day after, I still am thinking to myself " What the hell did i do to my body?" . I honestly didn't think i was going to be in so much pain. Well the pain wasn't that bad, it is manageable(i'm a huge baby) But now that i'm home i'm feeling so much better, trying to get all my liquids in and my pain killers are helping, a lot. I just find myself tearing for any little thing, don't know whats wrong with me. And I'm finding it hard to look down on my incision all them staples give me the creeps. I am looking foward to feeling better, recovering and advancing to my next stage. I have my first follow up appt. on Thursday. Thanks for listening JT 229/130

Hey JT, Just hold strong. All I know is the more optomistic you are the easier everything is. As for the staples and incision I just looked at them and laughed and said ok it looks like I had a zipper added to me. And with having nearly 50 staples it is kinda funny. Your emotions do swing a bit. I know mine did for like the first week but the surgery also caused me to start my period again. It is a abrupt hormone change in your body that you don't realize. And being home makes a world of difference, I was miserable in the hospital. I couldnt sleep in the beds cause they were so uncomfortable. I'm not to far out myself 1 week 5 days and yeah that first week tests you, but hold strong. Cause I mean litterally by the start of this past week I started feeling great energy and everything comming back. Just like my old habit of getting up at 6 am, before I really put the weight on hitting 402lbs. at my highest. Best wishes and look at the brightside of everything. Optimism is the only way to ensure a good strong recovery. We may get things thrown at us during this time but hold fast and take is as it comes and dont blow it out of proportion. Nicole
