A FRIEND OF MINE WHO HAD THE SURGERY 9 MONTHS AGO WAS TELLING ME ABOUT SOMETHING VERY VERY PERSONAL, REGARDING HER SEX LIFE AND HER HERE GOES THE PERSONAL PART HER PRIVATE AREA VAGINAL LIPS IF I MAY SAY. SORRY I TOLD YOU IT WAS PERSONAL. ANYWAY SHE SAID THAT BEFORE WHEN SHE WAS REAL REAL HEAVY 5'5" AND 275 POUNDS THAT HER "AREA" WAS SWOLLEN AND HER LIPS (SORRY) WERE BIG. NOW AT 5'5" 1/2 DONT KNOW HOW SHE GOT TALLER AND AT 175 POUNDS SHE SAID THEY ARE SHRINKING AND THINGS FEEL TIGHTER IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. I AM WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY TRUTH TO THIS, NOT THAT I DONT BELIEVE HER BUT I WONDER IF THIS HAPPENS TO WOMEN AND THEY JUST DONT TALK ABOUT IT. I AM SURE NO ONE WANTS TO REPLY TO THIS DIRECTLY BUT I AM VERY CURIOUS ABOUT THIS SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME PERSONALLY THROUGH MY PROFILE, I WILL NEVER DISPLAY YOUR RESPONSES ON THE BOARDS. I AM ALSO A LARGE GIRL (WELL I GUESS THAT IS OBVIOUS) AND I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT IF THINGS IN THAT AREA CHANGE AFTER SURGERY. Well, I personally do not know about this question because I am still trying to get approved but I am thinking you could ask your surgeon or someone in his office or maybe even your obgyn doctor. Maybe someone will have the nerve to answer here but that is kinda personal so good luck with finding your answers but as I said before I am thinking your obgyn would be able to tell you for sure. Hi Angel I am pre op and dont know but this is what I have read... Your lips do get tighter because now you have lots of extra fat. When you loose the amount of weight we do, we loose fat from everywhere even on our "who-who" ( thats what my grandma called it). With men they loose so much fat around there penis, it becomes larger and longer or it seems to become larger and longer A lot of people ask this question on the Sex board and they get very DIRECT answers. Thats where I read it from. So if you dont get a lot of responses here, post it there! People will respond. Congrats on your approval Kay

sorry im a guy but i couldnt resist, lol. but as for guys the girth of this "thing" doesnt increase, it does look bigger because our areas are smaller, but the length actually does increase because the fat in that area shrinks and there isnt like the cusion around the base...if that makes sence :/ _mike openRNY 2/25/05 623/500/200ish

Im only 3 months out and I do notice a difference! Obviously we all know what it looks like when you are 300lbs. There is obvously fat all over your body and yes... down there. I noticed things looking a little smaller, but not "tighter" in that sense.

where is the sex board, I have lots of questions but didn't know they had that. How do I see what kind of boards are out there, not just for sex but I hear about all of these different boards but can never find them Anyone know. Thanks for the answer

I actually asked this on a different support board I am on an was told that it is common for people who lose a lot of weight to need a pelvic skin tightening surgery afterwards. this is a huge fear of mine (to have it larger than it already is, TMI, sorry!!) I am scared once I start losing weight that it will droop. Your friends' comment about the area becomming smaller (shrinking) seem to make sense. Like it was posted, we have fat down there too, right? As for inside the actual vagina, I do not think that that would tighten from this. You need to do Kegals to tighten that part!! Erin
