Hi Everyone, I am new to this board and very excited to see that this board was created. Well I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with some of their hair coming out? My hair isn't coming out in chunks or anything, but at least 10-15 strands of hair each day in the shower are coming out. My surgery was back on April 26th of this year. Even when I am brushing my hair some strands come out too. Anyhow hopefully I won't go bald ha ha ha! Do ya think? Well I hope to get to know more of you on this message board! I did see that someone had everyone put their screen names on the board for yahoo and AIM and I think that was a great idea to get to know more of you on here! Well have a great day and God Bless! -Tifani

Hi Tifani My hair started coming out this summer really bad....I wasn't getting my protien and nor was I getting my water. I had to cut most of my hair off because of the fact of it was coming out in chuncks! I am not saying this is going to happen to you, I am just statting what happen to me. I know most people loose their hair but it comes back as fast as it falls out! I wouldnt worry since it's not that much hair. But just make sure you get your water and protien and VITIMINS! i take one a day weight smart and prenatal vit. even though i am not preggos! and I take b 12 shots once a month as well as subligual unde rmy tongue everty day, I do not however get my water or my protien, but all that is about to change because the scale is NOT moving and I am worried! Hi Rachel, Thanks so much for your input. I do take a multivitamin daily, 3 times a day and I do make sure that I do eat a lot of high protein. I will admit though that I don't take protein shakes or anything because those gag me and make me very nauseated. But thank you for sharing your comments. Have a great day. -Tifani

Hi my name is Tina, I haven't had surgery yet but will sometime soon probably this month. Have you tried Unjury protein shakes they are wonderful, they have a great taste and they also make an unflavored one that goes well in jello. You can order samples at www.unjury.com it is worth it just to try them. It will help with the hair loss if you get in enough protein. I've also been told that Biotin helps with hair loss. Hope this helps. Tina

Hey Tifani! Don't worry this is totally normal. At around 6mos or so mine started and it did this for a few mos and then it stopped. I noticed it, but really noone else seemed to notice it at all. Just make sure you are getting in all your protein. And the nixoin products are great! You can get it at your local salon. They have shampoos, conditioners, and vitamins. It won't stop the hair from coming up, but it will help it to come back quicker. Good luck!

From what I've heard the anesthesia can cause this to happen 3 to 6 months after surgery, and it lasts for a few weeks, and then stops. As long as you are watching your nutients and you are sure you aren't missing anything, that's probably all it is
