New to this board - Surgery Aug. 4th - Few Questions ????
How cool to have a 20ish board.. I am just saying hello to everyone, I am sure that after I get home from the surgery I will be on here all the time.... Good luck to all who are pre-op, and congrats to all those post-op. I don't really have any "buddies" on this site, and my friends & family are not 100% supportive.... I get that "You aren't fat enough" line more than I care to... lol. Question: I must go "food" shopping to prepare for my surgery.... any "must have" suggestions?? Anyting I should take to the hospital other than what is on "the list"? Anyone else scared as hell - lol?? I will spare you all of my life story, I just wanted to say hello. Rock on people, I will be back.....
Hey Just wanted to drop a line and welcome you to the 20s board.
I feel you on that " you are'nt fat enough" line, i hear it all the time too but i look at this way , i spoke to dozens of people who've had wls and all of them tell me they wish they would have done it sooner... so why wait any longer , i know i'm going to gain more weight as time goes by. I'm still pre-op , looking to have surgery the end of august if i get my approval by then and i'm like 50% scared , 50% excited...

Funny, but; I think if you're a good post op than you will be so busy excersizing
and getting used to your new body and adjusting to the new eating habits
, you won't be on here much. And for the majority after surgery our posts get fewer and farther in between
, most of us promise not to
, but life is out there waiting for us to live it
and with new hope
living that life is always less bleak than living this e-life.
Best of Wishes & All my prayers
are with you on your August 4th new Birthday!!

Faith,
Welcome, and I think it is absolutely awesome this 20's thing. Wi**** had been here when I was a pre-op & new post-op. Faith I just looked at your profile. I wondered you said some interest were automotive/mechanical or something like that & your comments were along the stereo lines. Are you into bumpin systems or mechanic? You can look at my website & see the "NON" poster child for incisions
yah I have this bad reactions to any surgery I have had the incisions have always gotten infected. And they were very well taken care of. Chances are your incision should be fine!!
Are you having it lap?
