Well, It Happened Again!
I went to see my transplant doc yesterday and he said the same UTI that I have been treated for twice since the beginning of June is still present. They are going to send me to an infectious disease/control specialist. I hope this gets resolved soon. It's tearing me up.
I will be off for the rest of the night probably. I gotta get ready for church and I will be there for the rest of the night. Thank you for your support.
I know you have to be frusturated, but try to remember that you being healthy and making it through the surgery well with a fast and healthy recovery is what they have in mind for you. I will pray for your infection to go away and for God to surround you with his love and healing. You will have your surgery, when the time is right. Good luck and keep us updated.
I am so sorry to hear that your surgery was cancelled!!! It takes a lot to get all psyched to do the surgery and prepare yourself and then be cancelled. Bummer. Are you drinking lots of water and cranberry juice? Cranberry juice has something natural in it that cleans out your urinary tract. Try it, you never know. Hope all gets better! Hugs! -Tiffany
I am drinking lots and lots of water but I cannot however drink or consume anything with cranberries. They interact with my anti-rejection drugs and makes them toxic. They are sending me to an infection control specialist at the end of August to see what it going on. This infection started at the beginning of June and nothing has helped so far. They now have me on 500 mg of Levaquin a day. This is after I have already been on Levaquin once for a week and Keflex for two weeks. What I need most is prayer right now. The UTI problem has plagued me since childhood and continues on. I will try to keep y'all updated on my progress.
