~~~Hello Hello~~~
Howdy everyone!
I am so excited there is a board for us 20-somethings. I will be 26 on August 8th and I am having my surgery tomorrow. I hope you all will pray for me. I hope to get back to normal quickly. I know it might not happen with this surgery but I was back to work 2 weeks after my kidney transplant and so I am hoping I handle this just as well.
Can't wait to meet you all! Have a wonderful day!
Yeah, actually the the need for WLS is a result of the weight I have gained from the transplant drugs. The kidney is working great but the weight I have gained is a danger to it. What's awful is that even though I have always been on the chunky side, I have now gotten to the "AAHHHHHH!!!!!!! I'm fat!" Thank you so much for your prayers and hopefully by this time tomorrow I will have some rearranged plumbing
Hey there... we are fairly close. Oddly enough I got some great food poisoning at McDonalds in Crossville last week. Not fun!!! At least I am over it now though.
I am having my surgery at Vanderbilt (my home away from home) and Dr. Kelly Wright is my doctor. Very cool guy now. Didn't really know what to think of him of first though.
Thanks for your good luck wishes!!
ICK! Glad to hear your feeling better! *hugs*
Vanderbilt? That's a nice hospital! Funny thing is, Dr. Wright was my first doctor I went to see about this surgery but he seemed... ODD. Then right before I was about to get a date, the hospital dumped my insurance.
So... I ended up with Dr. Hruska in Clarksville. I love that women!
Good luck with everything! Keep us posted!
