Well, here I am. I'm home after a 2 day, difficult hospital stay. I'm trying to wean myself off pain meds and increase my liquid intake. I find myself super thirsty but frequently experience chest cramping. My surgeon says "its normal". I look forward to my sugar free popcicles and lots of water! I was so excited the first time I passed gas (tmi). I will be on a liquid diet for the next 2 weeks and right now I am okay with that. I haven't had a soda in months, but I am feening for a cold Sprite!

So what's next? Glad I can follow along and learn from you all!

Till next time ♡

chest cramping isn't something that i have heard of. did they give you a spirometer to prevent pneumonia? if they did make sure that you're using it!

My surgeon said to keep practicing my deep breathing. The cramping has me a little worried, especially at night.

I had a good bit of chest pressure for about a week after surgery. I'm not sure if that's similar to the chest cramping. I found it difficult to keep drinking all the time, but I feel after some of the inflammation went down, that's when I was really able to start drinking and the pressure went away that most.

I'm about 5 weeks out and was able to start unrestricted textures a few days ago. It's definitely been an interesting experience. Good luck!
