Hi all!

I  was just sleeved this past Monday. I'm so tired and sore, but am not looking forward to being cooped up recovering! Got to come home last night, feels very good to be out of the hospital. Wondering when you felt good enough to venture out or be social, even if just for little bit, or to the grocery store or the movies.I'm supposed to be heading back to work and school next week, hoping I'm up to it! How did your friends react to the sudden weight loss? (whether or not you told them?) Any other tips you guys could pass along would also be great!

Congratulations on the surgery and getting released from the hospital  !     I was sleeved July 2009 and lost 150lbs and have kept it off.   You're going to be  sore for about a week but you should be able to go out and venture after day 3, actually the best thing you can do is walk. You're real friends should support you and be happy for you (as mine did) but there will be many people who will talk negative (not infront of you) but thats life.  It was rough for me the first month or 2 but once you are able to eat solid foods and see the weight come off you're going to feel amazing and want to strive for more weightloss.  Remember to drink plenty of water, take you're vitamins and get in alot of protein.   Best of luck to you !

Hi Congratulations on your surgery!!! This is beginning of your new and amazing life to come!! I had the Gastric Bypass RNY it will be 3 years on March 2nd and I've lost 131 and was maintaining (I say "was" becuase I'm pregnant with twins right now and have gained 30lbs. . but I know I will lose it after the babies are born) and its the best decision I have EVER made in my life. My fiance had the sleeve just about a year ago on January 18th, 2011 and he has lost over 90 pounds with very minimal effort and he was good and back to normal in less than a week. He has more energy now and is able to do so much more than he could before his weight loss. I wish you the best of luck in your journey, you will see that it is amazing!!
