For the last two weeks I have been stuck at the same number. I am frusterated because I have increaed my workouts. I had my surgery Oct 17th. It's now March. I know that eventually weight loss slows down, but this is starting to upset me a little. A friend suggested Body By Vi. Any other suggestions. I need to get to my goal- 16 pounds before April 10th!!!

Well being your roughly 5-6 months post-op this is a very common time to get a stall. And it usually sticks around for 2-6 weeks depending on your body, not much you can do to override your body just keep on keeping on.

Increasing your workouts will tone and build muscle. Muscle density is higher than fat, so just because the scale may not move you are probably still loosing fat. Use your clothes as a guage or measure yourself and leave the scale alone.

Hi there, I havent had my surgery yet im due on 4/12 to have it. but I was just at a support group for people who have had it and this exact thing came up. There was a woman a few years older then us who also stopped losing weight and it was because she wasnt taking in as many calories as she was burning and her body finally went into starvation mode. She said she upped her calorie intake from 300 too 700 and started rapidly losing weight again. She was also working out like crazy and lost a total of 123 lbs in just 4 months. Although she started at a weight of 370 lbs. I'm not quite sure what your starting weight was but from what i hear the more you wight the faster it comes off lol. Anyway I really hope this helps. I can just imagine your frustration! fingers crossed.

Thanks ladies. I really appreciate it! I am going to continue increasing my exercise traits, but also include calories. What did not think about was measuring my body by clothing. I comofortably fit into a pair of jeans that I had purchased a month ago that I couldn't barely put on. So, this makes me happy to know I can continue down this path. Thanks for the advice. If you think of other things, let me know!
