Rule of thumb for protein:

30 by 30 days
60 by 60 days
90 by 90 days
then 100 a day after that.

Well your nut must be nuts(wouldnt be a shocker most are). Its too hard for new post-ops to get such amounts so soon. And once you go to eating its impossible to push so much so early, protien in any form is hard on the stomach. Your pouch is quite litterally smaller than your eyes.

the 30,60,90 rule is followed by the best practices no matter the surgery type. As its quite illogical to push high amounts of protien early out with any surgery.

I never had any "rules" to follow its just my 7 years in WLS I have found such info. 1 year pre-op and now over 6 years post-op. At goal and loving life, been maintaining since 2006.

My nutritionist wants me to get betwen 80-90grams of protein.  Im only a month out.  I have been struggling to get mine in.  She suggested drinking 3 glasses of skim milk and that is helping alot.  Protein shakes just dont go down fast enough for me so i get behind in my water if i drink the shakes.   She also suggested using greek yogurt more with my soft foods to up the protein.  So far i get about 60 ish with food and milk.  Which is much better from my 20-30 i was getting.  So maybe give skim milk a try.  If you cant tolerate milk she said we could sub with soy or almond milk.  good luck!
