Attention Mirena Users: QUESTION
From what I've heard, sounds pretty normal. I had mine placed on Nov 22nd - lordy that hurt!!! Had a "period" in the normal time frame during that week, except it was lighter in color than in the past, and have been spotting this week. That's annoying in itself. Gonna buy stock in pantyliners for the next few months.... Are you having any discomfort or has that passed? Can you feel your strings? I've heard they feel like fishing line. I think I may have felt them when I tried but it's kinda awkward and doubt myself so may have to go to the gyn to verify it's still ok.....

It is completely normal. I bled for a few weeks. Now it goes and comes on and off. It takes some time for our body to get accustomed to having a foreign body in there. Also everyone is different. I had mine put in in May this year.
