At a loss for what to do...

I know that many of you on here are new to the RNY experience. I have not been on the message boards in about a year.  My life has been a little crazy to say the least.

Anyway, it has been 3 years since I had my RNY and it has not been with out challenges but I lost an amazing amount of weight.  In 2 years I went from 400lbs down to 202lbs... But over the last 6 months I have noticed my new clothes are getting tighter.  I have not lost anymore weight and I have added 50lbs in the last 6 months! I have no idea what is wrong because I have not really changed anything in the last year with the exception of having my gall bladder removed.

I am looking for people in similar situations. I need help & advice.  I am getting really depressed because I look at myself and I do not want to go back to where I was.  I was so miserable. I am terrified I am going to end up huge again.

Thoughts? Ideas? suggestions? Prayers/encouragement?
Help!!!!!

Welcome back! It's great to hear that you are taking responsibility and trying to get this sorted out before it becomes an issue. I'm only 4 months out so I can't comment personally on regain after a few years but my suggestion would be to start tracking food again. I track currently to make sure I'm getting in protein and water and it really helps to make sure that I'm on track. I've heard from other vets on here that uping your protein, increasing fluid, and bringing down your carbs can help you get back to where you want to be, so look at what you are eating after a week of tracking and figure out where you could swap.

I wish you all the best, hopefully some more experienced WLSers can offer some more advice!

Hi, I can't speak personally from RNY experience but I can from Lapband/ realize band experience. I am almost 3 years post op and droped 110lbs in the first year and a half... I am up 40lbs from my lowest weight and I am scared to death to go back to were I was before. The good news is I have a great PA that works with my suregon and he thought that starting over with my restriction would be a good place to start. Hopefully it works. I think tracking your intake would be a good place to start for you though and will give u a better idea of what your eating habbits are and what needs to change inorder to start loosing again. Good luck!
