oh boy Vanessa...

Think of it this way: maybe because you are hitting hurdles NOW...you won't hit as many after surgery ;)

I will be thinking of you.

Sorry for the semi-bad news!!! UGH

I hear you! In my last pre op test they found a tumor on my liver and now they want to do a CT scan to make sure it's benign. Add one more thing to the list...
oh, and my surgery was moved back a week because my surgeon won't be working anymore on my original date. i want my 2 carb free days back

A good surgeon removes the gallbladder anyway. As it usually is a problem for WLS folks if left in after surgery.

Its not going to slow your surgery down, either way.

Sorry I'm calling BS on the couple more weeks recovery. I was an OPEN DS (and galbladder removed) and was back to work in 2 weeks. And I did not have a desk job.

Its money, why he says that. If he doesn't do it now he can charge again later and you having to go through another surgery. So you will lose even more time. Galbladder removal is nearly done as an out patient procedure anymore. So I call complete BS. Might be worth it to find another surgeon, cause your having galbladder problems and this one wont remove it unless it gives you problems again AFTER WLS. Its a money grab, just letting you know. A diseased glabladder does not heal itsself and WLS usually expounds the problems.

BTW not mad at you. I just can't stand surgeons like this. If your going to do something do it right.

And just cause he is a surgeon doesn't mean he is right. It will benefit you greatly if you learn to stand up against them now. They are not gods and do not know everything. And *gasp* can be wrong and just money grabbers.
