Surgery Tomorrow

Yesterday I made my long journey from VA about 130 pm and arrived in CA about 330am (EST). The hotel that Ready 4 A Change Suggested was reasonably priced and nice plus I can see the Pacific from my room! This is the first time I have ever been this far west before. It's a bit of a change and completly exciting!

Additionaly, this is my third day of clear liquids. Although I have had a hunger pangs throughout the liquid diet process, it has surprisingly been a lot easier than I had ever anticipated. I think I read to many surgery 'horror stories.'

In a couple of hours, I am going to be picked up and taken to the hospital. To be completly honest I was more than a little nervous deciding to do this whole thing on my own. But at the same time, I feel completly confident that everything will turn out just fine.

A few minutes ago, I was flipping through all the before and after photos. Smiling, I thought to myself, "Mine will be up there soon!"

Happy Sunday to all of you!

 Thanks Ladies!

Now that I am two days post opp, I still can't believe I had the surgery. It was a bit different than I expected. After surgery, I was unpleasantly vomitting blood (about 5 or 6 times). But after a few hours and more meds later, I was feeling ok. The doctor released me from the hospital today. Surprisingly, I feel pretty good and have been walking around all day. One of the guys who helped me at the hospital only reccently relocated to the area, lived about an hour away from me...small world.

Right now, my stomach feels like its full of bubbles or I'm hungry. Honestly I can't tell the difference. I have been sipping on Gaterade and Tea today. Plenty more where that comes from. The hotel I am staying at is very nice. So much nicer than my hospital room. I feel more relaxed and at ease here.

Even though it is has been painful, because I know what the outcome will be, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
