really nervous for the surgery.im schedules for 9/26 and i feel like im nesting again.  i think i am just trying to occupy my mind especially when the kids are all asleep and i am just awake and thinking about it.  any thoughts on how you passed your nerves pre op?
someone told me to just work more but i already work almost 50 hours a week and have three kids to care for and like most people a house to keep up with any other thoughts or words of wisdom to ease me?

I definitely don't work 50 hours and don't have 3 kids... but this is what helps me:

Yes, this is a major surgery. Yes, my life will have to change drastically....but the few months of possible bumps along the way will certainly not be outweighed by the positive outcomes!

Just think of how much better you will look and how much better you will feel.

You are doing this for your children. To live even LONGER for THEM.

Keep your head up. You will do great!!

Nerves are completely understandable, but keep in mind your life is about to change forever in such a positive way!  You will be able to do things with your kids that are challenging for you right now, and you will have more energy post-surgery to do those things! I am only 2.5 months post-op and can already say this was the best thing I have ever done for myself hands down!!  You will do great!!
