It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

i'm quite a bit shorter than you, 5'0 and started at 252 lbs. As of this morning  I was 162 (had surgery 9/27/10 so I'm 9.5 months out). I think we all thing we are gonna be the one that doesn't lose anything. When I look in the mirror I see a huge difference in my face (and the past week or so my boobs ugh!) but I still see my stomach as big. I know it's a lot smaller but I just don't see it that way.

I'm 5'5 and started out at 262.  Trust me I know EXACTLY where you're coming from.  I have seen all the befores and afters of people looking amazingly small.  I thought I was going to be the one to not lose any weight too.  I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and I've lost 17 lbs so far.  Seriously, I would have never thought pre-op that i would have lost that much by now.  I am truly impressed.  However, I am listening and doing EVERYTHING that the doctor tells me to.  Just be sure to follow your surgeon's instructions very closely and I'm sure you'll do fine!
