23 years old & having RNY surgery on july 25th
I LOVE click! Add some SF vanilla Syrup and splenda and it tastes like a latte from Starbucks. Bariatric advantage Pro Joes are really good, kinda costly though. They both have caffeine since they are coffee flavored so if u cant do Caffeine then you cant have them.
Some Decaffeinated ones I like are Celebrate ENS (chocolate milk is really good, They also have a cake batter one that if you like cake batter is really good, I just don't like cake batter). But right now I'm addicted to the Bariatric Advantage Pro Go's. There fruit Favored and you just add to water and they taste like propel.
I have some other types that I still need to try, an Orange cream one and a cran grape one. I'll let you know if they're good or not. One tip i have learned with protein shakes is if you drink them in a cup with a lip on it you taste the protein less because you cant smell it.

I have not done any protein powder. Can any of you tell me waht the two week pre-op liquid diet is like? & what are some things that are good to get for that? & are the protein shakes better already made? or the powder ones that you make? i've never had a PS in my life lol ....how do you mix them with water or skim milk?
Can I say wow! 2 weeks mine was only five days and oh man was it HARD! The good thing about it though is it helps you to realize after surgery when your hungry and what is just head hunger. The real key is find a protein you like, it goes so much easier when your not having to gag a product down. For my pre-opp diet I couldn't have have milk so i had to mix my shakes with water, but you can do either depending on what your diet guidelines are, every surgeon is different. To mix I found the most convent way to do it is in a blender bottle (if you don't know what that is just google it there's plenty of pictures online, its definitely a good investment.) I have found both powders and ready to drinks are good, it all just depends on your personal preference. Be sure to stock up on SF jello and Popsicles, I discovered that the Jello brand jellos are the best the others are just to bland. Chicken tortilla soup broth is good all the flavors from everything in it collects in the broth and its really yummy. Another thing you can do is go to Mimi's cafe (if there's one near) and order french onion soup and ask for just the broth. Like I said the pre-op diet is hard, its the worst part, you'll probably ask yourself why your doing this to yourself but stick with, its sooo worth it.

P.S- I'm completely biased because its my family that creates the show but you should check out bariatrictv.com. It has A LOT of good info for post-opps and working on it is the reason I feel like i know so much.

Holy Cow that's alot of good info!! I am currently doing my 2 week pre-op diet. I'm doing EAS protein shakes. My dr has me doing low carb, low fat, low sugar, high protein. So basically meat and lettuce. LOL. It isn't all that hard for me. Maybe because I'm SO ready for this. I've started this journey last October!!
