helloooooo 20somethings....

so i just got my approval after being denied and appealing it for the VSG...and i'm waiting for my surgeon to set the date. i used to be a crapbander but had it removed a year ago and have been healing my stomach since then. i'm excited and terrified at the same time but hey its somethin i gotta do. 

anyone wanna share their experiences good? bad? happy/sad? or just say hi!!

Congrats on getting approved. I'm sorry you had to deal with a crapband gone bad. I hear it so often now. I wish you well with your sleeve.

Hi Nancy and welcome my almost Sleeve-Sister!  I had a tough time getting my sleeve because I did it in a chop-shop in Mexico, but I'm doing great today!  I wear a size six, work out all the time, and have lots of energy.  Can't wait for you to join me!

Congrats on your approval. Just had my VSG surgery 12 days ago. First couple days were bad but im all good now.  No regrets.

rach i effin love you...thanks guys. danielle ive read lots of your stuff you are doin awesome...yes ive been lurking. ive been on this site forever tho due to my crapband..RIP. haha im really scared but excited to start a new life. a healthier life. a life where i dont have to use my crazy personality to get the attention i could potentially use with appearance? hahaa we'll see. whats good on this forum?

You know it was actually a tough adjustment to go from being the "fat, smart, funny" girl everyone loved to being totally "average."  It was almost like I didn't feel like myself anymore, and felt like people didn't notice me because instead of being fat and in everyone's face, I look just like everyone else now.  Things that happen to you during this journey may surprise you!  It sure as heck has surprised me!
