Post Plastic Surgery Update AND a Surprise
So I was SUPPOSED to have an extended anchor incision breast lift with a 492 CC Silicone gel implant, thigh lift, and thoracoplasty on 3/15. At my pre-op, my mom saw the 492 and insisted I try on the size up "just to see". When my surgeon pulled out a 700 CC implant I freaked out and said it was WAY to big, but once in my shirt I actually liked it. Since I first saw the 492 I felt it was on the small side, but ignored my gut and just went with what the surgeon said. At the final pre-op when the surgeon said it was going to be 10-15% smaller because it was going under the muscle I was even more let down, until I tried on the 700. I thought it was on the big side, but my surgeon asked me if I was more worried about being too small or being too big. I decided I'd rather be too big and signed for the 700. With this news the surgeon said there was a small chance that the implant was big enough to avoid a full lift, but it was very small. When I woke up he said I needed the lift after all and that everything went according to plan. The next day when he took the bandage off I was SHOCKED to see that the only scars on my breast were around my nipple and about a 4 inch one hidden under my breast crease. He apparently only had to do a small lift (called a bellini lift) where he cut a wide circle around my nipple and took the excess skin from around there. Since I had silicone implants the incision in the crease had to be there. I am ECSTATIC with my results and was SO surprised to see no markings! I'll be posting pictures ASAP but I can't believe I have perfect and near scarless breasts. Any questions feel free to ask, but I'm thrilled and doing great!
