Effects of Protein (attitude..etc)

OK, so i am 4 months post op and have lost 95lbs.  At this point i have started incorporating heavy weight training program into my exercise and along with that has come some protein powders being reintroduced to my diet( haven't used protein since i started on solid foods 2 months ago).  What i am wondering is what effects the protein may have on a persons attitude, or maybe their self esteem?  I am writing this due to family concerns with my attitude just since i started the weight training proteins.

Weight lifting makes you pump testosterone. Also you may become ****y by thinking you're a tough guy now. Protein does not affect your attitude.

I think you are confusing steroids and protein.  Steroids do have an effect on your moods, but protein does not.

Thanx, i am using whey protein post workout, no steroids i have heard what they do to the male body (or a single area).  I guess it must be a change in me as a person after surgery and this is the new me.

Well multiple things to take into consideration:

1) Your very new post-op. Fat stores estrogen so as you lose weight you will have a hormone dump. Yes this applies to men as it does women. So this alone will cause mood swings (now you know how we women feel).

2) Protein powders are nothing more than protein. BUT protein is used to build and maintain muscle.

3) Being your a guy weight training, your building muscle, and with a combination of thoes two factors comes an increase in testosterone.

So your attitude problems are a combination of estrogen dump and increasing testosterone. This will level out once your out of the high ketosis stage of weightloss. Its all hormonal, it has nothing to do with your protein powders nor the weight training actually. Its just the mixing of hormones.

What kind of shaker do you use to mix estrogen and testosterone?
