ohhh hormones

OOOHHH. my. 

I'm still in pre-op diet phase, and I've lost some weight. Some of my clothes are bigger on me, my scrubs are looser and starting to fall down.

But the biggest change... is my hormones. 

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!

I knew this would happen. Since estrogen is a fat stored horomone... once I started losing it would be released and my body would have no idea what to do with it at first.

Well, apparently my body has decided to release all my excess hormones, through my eyeballs.

I have been crying at everything.  Commericals, songs, tv shows, movies. 

The american cancer society... where they're slowly sining happy birthday.  oh my god, i was hysterical for 20 minutes after that. 

its terrible.  i dont even know what will trigger it anymore at this point. 

i cried when my friend told me her boyfriend said 'i love you' for the first time.  I cried. Not her. 

please tell me this gets better and my estrogen stops escaping through my eyes.

Lmfao!!! Katie it will get better - promise! The first 2 weeks were rough in that aspect for me but it'll fly by!

 haha im going through that too. i've never been one to cry at movies or tv shows but lately its all i do. 

Hahah It does get better, i promise! Im an emotional person to begin with ( i cry at ellen on a regualr basis when she gives stuff away on the show...i cry at dumb commercials and heaven forbid i get through a whole episode of greys or private practice without a cryfest...) so as you can imagine i was a HOT MESS when the weight first started coming off haha. But as with everything itll just take some time for your body will get used to it and things will regualte :)

oh forget it. Grey's anatomy... I wasn't able to make it through episodes BEFORE all the hormones.. and now.. forget it. I have to re-watch it because I end up missing stuff! 

What bothers me THE MOST..  is that now... when I would normall get angry and yell and get *****y...

I cry first.  Then the ***** comes out.  but the tears come out somehow.

At least it gets better.

hahaha.  Katie, I had NO idea that would happen once you start losing weight.  I don't think anyone ever told me that.  Thank goodness for OH otherwise I wouldn't know alot.  Hang in there girl!  Apparently it gets better!

One show I ALWAYS cry during is the Biggest Loser.  I have tried to go an entire episode without crying but never make it!

 OMG.. i was NOT aware of the hormone thing at all. Thanks for posting this Katie! I'm in the same boat as you right now and working my way through my liquid diet. I haven't noticed myself any more emotional than usual but I'm always pretty fiesty... 

I'm glad to know that should the tears flow.. it'll all get better over time. While i can't really offer advice on this one I can be another shoulder for you to cry on should you need it!! 

I just cried in my hallway in front of my friends because we were talking about finding nemo and all the babies die in the beginning.  I started to cry. 

I'm afraid to watch tv. lol. who knows whats going to send me off the deep end


**side note, saw my surgeon today, down another 5 lbs! another 20 and i'll be at my pre-op goal :) :) **
