Cleansing myself from my sins: I'm a new man
Ok, so apparently I'm the biggest asshole because I care enough to inform preopers about post op problems with surgery.
i apologize to all I have offended and pissed off. Please feel free to curse me out below in the comments.
Early new years resolution: I will no longer say anything about surgery to other people's posts; however I will continue to post general info about surgery with out being offensive.
Peace:-)

I understand somewhat where you're coming from. I had a complication after RNY surgery that almost killed me (leaving me having to get multiple blood transfusions) and at that time I wanted to tell everyone "stay away!" On the other hand, my RNY now seems like a great thing in my life and that complication seems like a minor issue when compared to how much RNY has helped me.
I think most people assume on here that once someone chooses a surgery - aka "I am GOING to have lap band surgery" - they know about the risks and pitfalls of the surgery. When they are asking which surgery to have and whatnot, I think it is ok to start talking about risks and post op problems. I think the same thing probably works best for the DS - you really should talk about it as much as you can when someone is asking about surgery in general because it is a good choice for some people. But once they've committed to a certain surgery it's probably best to support them 100% in their choice.
I know for me personally I would hate it if you stopped posting altogether. There aren't enough post-ops around here. I'm doing my best to get back into it all as it helps me with my own WL journey as well as helping others.
