19 days
I have 19 days left before RNY and a scale that is broken..anyone know of a digital scale that works, (without a huge price tag) that I could get my hands on?
It's driving me nuts that everytime I step on the scale, the number has changed by 5 pounds..especially when I do it 5x in a row..
Also, any advice for the pre-op here about the next 19 days (and beyondddd) please feel free.
i'm not sure exactly what will be handy to have at the hospital..so help is appreciated!
Thanks!
Bethany

I use the weigh****chers one. I bought it at costco.
Being a dude, I can't give good advice beyond bring a change of underwear.
Please stop worrying about the scale so much. You will initially go through rapid weight loss, so don't stress over the scale at this point. I know it's easier said than done.
Best wishes.

thanks, it's becoming quite an obsession to jump on the scale. i have about 16 pounds left to lose before i can even have the surgery, and it's stressing me out to the max. it started out so well with the medifast, i lost 15 pounds in the first week, but that was probably a lot of water weight. so i'm staying on track with the medifast and hopefully those last 16 will jump ship soon..i can't even consider delaying the surgery, i don't know how much longer i can stomach those nasty shakes!
Nope. Don't do it. Throw that scale away, girl! You'll become obsessed with your weight...imagine how nuts you will go when you stall for 3 weeks....Just get rid of it! :) I don't have one and don't plan on buying one until I'm in maintenance so I can watch so the scale doesn't creep up on me.
For the hospital, bring comfy loose fitting clothes...like sweats. A pillow for the ride home...it can be pretty bumpy. Chapstick is a must...and I brought my laptop to pass time.
Good luck!!!
