skin issues and acne after sugery

as anyone else experienced changes with their skin after surgery? I had my surgery November 8th. I have been on birth control for many..many...many...many years. After surgery I noticed I have fine bumps on my forehead and I have also noticed acne. Before surgery I didnt have this problem. I spoke to my primary doctor about other birth control options and the issue with my skin. She said it was probably my hormones trying to get in control. She suggested I give it some time, but I'm really don't like what I see! I'm going to see a dermatologist in January, to hear their input.

It's really common to have skin issues for a while after surgery. For one thing, your body went through a serious shock with the surgery and so your body and hormones are all freaking out. Also, estrogen is stored in fat cells, so as you lose weight, that estrogen is released into your system which can cause you to be emotional and develop acne. That'll pass as your hormones level out. I encourage you to see a dermatologist, though, as that's never really a bad idea. Let us all know how it goes!

YESSSS !!! I had very bad acne and it was sooo bad that i was depressed. I was also getting the bumps/acne on my chest and other areas as well. However, i have not had any problems lately. I was told from my surgeon that it was hormone related.
