i had my preoperative blood work done today and i never new why when getting blood done the first thing they ask if you ate or drank anything...just curious
It really depends on what bloodwork that you had done. When doing cholestorol or glucose levels if you have eaten then the levels will be elevated. The doctors want to see if they are elevated when you are fasting in order to show your true levels.
