Oh god . . . thats a ton!!! Well . . . I guess personal trainers are for rich people and people who try to live beyond their means? >.< . . . not that thats helpful in any way to your situation . . . Uhmm how old are you exactly? Are you like young enough to be in college still? If so and if you are just taking a break to get surgery . . . I know some schools offer discounts to students . . . like where I go. I can get 20 hours for 200 bucks . . . not that I can even afford that at this point . . . but still
That's really par for the course. I've only seen slightly cheaper ~$50/hr. At my school, there are student trainers that are seeking certification but haven't gotten it yet at around $30/hr. You could look for a workout buddy on Craigslist or something. Not really the same, but it would probably help. You might be able to find someone that isn't certified as well at a lower price.
Hey yeah finding a student probably seems like my best bet. I deff wouldn't go looking on Craigslist it's just pretty creepy to me ahha. They offer lower rates if you buy sessions in bulk. If I bought 52 sessions they're only 35 each which in all reality isn't too bad. I mean that sorta works out for three days a week for six months or so..it's around 2,000 bucks. I think I may just pay up and go with that. I'll have really good success if I have a strong support like a personal trainer!
Try goining a local gym that has trainers and advisors. The advisors can set you up a good routine and it costs no more than your monthly membership. You just are on your own doing the exercises no one on one. Thats what I do, and well my advisor is just now learing how to kick my butt( I'm looking at toning and restrengtheing my whole body). So it maybe something to look into. I pay $30 a month for my membership (that includes tanning too, lol).

Part of me says yes, but carefully. I have no proof to back it other than my experience.
What is the key ingredent in most "lotions" to help with scars. Vitamin D. Where does the body get D most readily, from UV rays. As D is produced by our skin, mainly from UVb if I remember correctly.
My scars are not that noticable at all. Very faint and pretty much blend in. I only tan 3-4 times a week 12 minutes in a booth or 20 in a bed (but start low and build up). Plenty of good lotions out there to really give you the "pop" of color. No need to turn to leather. Never use a bed/booth that says it will not burn you, as it doesn't produce the proper amount of UV rays to help with vit D.

i worked in a salon for 2 years. you don't want the scar to be exposed to uv light for 2-3 months after surgery because it will make it a weird darker color and be worse, but after that inital period it does help. just make sure you are using a quality indoor tanning lotion, and NEVER burning. and please make sure you use indoor tanning eyewear. the effects of what could happen are not worth the slight lines they leave.
The only thing about that is is that I've tried regular gyms before and I can't push myself because I'm too self concious still. So I'm thinking I'd be better off with a little more personal one-on-one training, that way it isn't as intimidating and I can REALLY push myself without feeling like I'm being watched or observed by curious people haha
