finally have some energy!
surgery went great on monday. i was up and moving monday night and all the nurses kept making fun of me because i made a point to walk as much as i could monday and tuesday. wednesday, everything was fine in the morning but i was extra tired so i took it easy, only to have the vein my iv was in collapse in the afternoon. my hand swelled up to about 4x its size, so they took the iv out and tried to get a new line started. couldn't get a vein so my nurse got another one to try, only one he could get was in my thumb. holy hell did that hurt! after an hour or so that one collapsed to and now i had two swollen hands, needless to say i was miserable, plus they had taken away my pain button that day. they ended up just leaving me with no iv since i was leaving in the morning anyway. woke up thursday feeling better, and motivated since i knew i was most likely going home and got discharged around 10:30 when my mom got there.
i've been living on the couch downstairs for the past few days just because everything is more accessible there, and the couch reclines. finally ventured upstairs today and thought i would update everyone! i've had no trouble getting water down, but the protein shakes fill me super quick. oh and i'm down 6 pounds!

OMG I am sick to my stomach and I don't even have a fear of needles!! Glad to hear you're doing well. After surgery I felt like death for a good two weeks. That and my grandfather died literally 3 days after I woke up from surgery. It was hard and seemed to get harder for about a month.. then it got easier.. then it was breezy!
best of luck to ya!
