Best Protein Shake/Smoothies for women
REALIZE Band on 04/21/10 with
I know you said for women, but the shakes I use are the GNC brand. I mix a scoop with 8-10 ozs of smart milk. the powder is 20 grams a serving I i believe the milk is about 10 grams. So all together that is about 30 grams of protien for 200-220 calories depending on flavor. I am not sure about promoting weightloss but the shakes dont taste to bad and you get alot of protien.
Hope that helped at all

I like "Any Whey" protein powder- it doesnt have a strong flavour and can be added to anything- its designed to be mixed in with anything you make, even high carb stuff like pancakes or biscuits. I've never used it in any of those things- but nice to know you have the option!
It is only 70 calories and has 17g protein, 1g carb, no sugar, no fat. I bought it at GNC and it was about $29.

The "best" is a matter of taste really. Assuming you're not lactose intolerant, any whey protein on the market should work well for you (or soy). Just make sure it isn't sweetened with sugar or anything that ends in -ose, except sucralose.
They try to make it confusing because it is to their benefit to try to sell the most expensive protein they can, but there is not much of a difference between the different types of whey protein. Personally, I would avoid the whey isolates because you are paying quite a bit more for a protein in which they have filtered out trace impurities, which turn out to actually be really healthy.
It's more about finding a shake in which you'll actually drink. As long as you get it down, you're good.
