I am 22 and had my band done 4/21/10
So far so good on my journey, lost about 80 so far in 16 weeks, eating right and working out all the time. Been rough spots here and there, like adjusting to fills and dealing with personal thing like wanting to lose faster, but its been a great journey so far. No regrets and loving every moment of it

Hi,
I'm 23 and I had my surgery on 2/24/10. I've lost about 45 pounds in six months. I'm pretty happy with my weightloss. Obviously I wish that I would have lost more ,but life has gotten in the way (stress and school issues).
I was on the smaller side when i had my surgery so losing weight is harder but I don't regret my decision to have the surgery. It has been the best thing to happen to me. This whole process for me has been a mental challenge more so then a physical one. I think that I am going to go and talk to a therapist because no matter how fast I lose the weight I am always going to have an eating disorder unless I get it under control.
I'm sorry if I am creating a doom and gloom picture (it's been a hard two weeks for me with my weight loss) I am really happy that I chose the lapband and I would recommend it to anyone. If you have anymore questions let me know :)

Hi, I had my surgery done march 2009. Things have gone really well, I have lost over 100 lbs including my preop weight loss. I'm about 30lbs from goal but have had a hard time the last few months getting there. Things have been really stressful for me with school but I can't blame it 100% on that, I need to start working out again so that I can reach my goal and keep it up. This has been the best decision ever, at least for me. Good luck
