need advice

Hey Everyone,

I have a question to those of you that had surgery. I am in college which starts AUG 16 and My surgery is Aug 30th. I know I wont be there for a week but how long until I can actually concentrate and not be tired to return to school or atleats school work? Thanks

I took 2 weeks off. The week of my surgery and then that next week.

 I had my surgery (VSG) on the Monday of spring break and was back in class the following Monday with everyone else. I actually found it pretty easy to concentrate and work hard, it took my mind off of surgery and focusing on it with such obsession. Good luck!!!

I was back  like a week after to be exact 10 days. back to work from 9 to 2, then school from 4 to 10. and i was feeling ok to go, n concentrate n everything. it took like 1 or 2 months to feel like me again but u'll be able to go to school.

you should be fine within 2 weeks...just keep up with all your fluids, vitamins, and protein. and WALK as much as you can...that really helped me keep on track. good luck!
