HELP...time of the month
Ok so this TOM has been horrible. All I want to do is eat!!! And I'm not talking healthy foods I want sweets in the worst way and its starting to show that I have been bad and giving in to the cravings! It has been this way for the last couple months and I don't know how to keep myself from giving in. If anyone has any ideas it would be very helpful, because I did not go through this journey only to go back to where I was before. I think I have hit a brick wall and FINALLY realized how much being smaller has helped me to become a happier me. Thanks for listening everyone, you all have always been so much help to me along this crazy journey.
I can't really speak for the TOM, because I have a Mirena and I really can't remember the last time I had a real period...BUT, I do get times where I emotionally binge eat so it's similar.
I think you already have done well just by stating the fact that you have worked so hard to get here and don't want to go back. Always remember that. I'm putting up some old pictures (today, actually) in my "hot spots" fridge, cupboard, pantry as visual reminders that my new body is something that I want to keep.
I'm not an all or nothing person but I do have the tendancy to not know when to stop, so I really can't have certain foods in my house. If you aren't like that though, maybe you can give into a craving by having a healthier substitute? If you want chocolate, have a sugar-free pudding...if you want salty, try some whole wheat crackers with peanut/almond butter...etc. Snacks shouldn't be labeled as bad, it's when we abuse them, we get into trouble. I have abused them recently so I'm going to 3 meals and 1-2 planned snacks but that's something I have to do for myself right now.
Hope this helps!
Good luck!!
