down 30 pounds in 17days help me with protein shakes pls
so i had surgery may 10 i began walking right away i have been not being gettin enough protein in im really trying hard i am having some trouble eating but i dont care the weight is comming off im walking a mile a day now this week i will try in do two miles any protein that is good out there i started at 419 ,,, well last june i was 455 this is the best thing i have ever done

Just try to eat/drink when you can as much as you can tolerate when you sit down to eat. I was never huge on protein shakes because my nutritionists stress balance in food, which I agree with, but look for a protein that is low sugar/carbs around 20g or more of protein per serving.
I wouldn't really stress out about not getting enough of anything because you are so newly out of surgery. Slowly, you will begin to eat more and tolerate more. Don't forget to drink water all day too and take the vitamins.

Congratulations on your surgery and on walking! I had my surgery on May 24 and can't think of walking that far right now. Someone posted on the main board with ideas for getting in 90 grams of protein a day. I also have an awesome shake recipe.
I c. ff milk (8 grams of protein)
1 scoop GNC Whey protein isolate in cookies and cream(28 grams of protein)
2 tbsp organic (no sugar) pure cocoa powder (2 grams of protein!)
mix in a blender or blender cup and tada 38 grams of protein in one cup!
Drink three of these a day and you will have eaten 114 grams of protein - which is more than enough!
It tastes pretty good too and I HATE protein shakes. This is my husband's recipe.He is the best!
He also tried freezing this and then mixing it in the food processor a little before eating it. That tasted just like ice cream!!
