Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this board and wanted to introduce myself.  My names is Susie and I'll turn 23 the week after my surgery.  Happy Birthday to me!  I feel like I'm going to get a new lease on life and am super excited.  I'd welcome any tips and tricks to life post-op, especially ideas for a full-time college student.

I live in a small, rural town (only about 300 people live here!), so I'm hoping this message board can be a good source of support for me.

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!

i also had my surgery when i was 22 about 1 month befor turning 23 n its being great so far!
now i'm almost 2.5 years out and 25 n loving the new me.

i was working 5  hours in the morning and then i had classes all afternoon. i was back to my normal schedule  like 10 days after surgery i wasnt feeling like 100% myself but i was able to do it all. just take it easy n you will be fine. you just have to make sure you have watter all the time with you. and that`s pretty much it u`ll be fine and will learn what works best for you! is your normal life just that food is not the main thing of your day lol, u`ll figured it out don`t worry!
good luck! n keep us posted

Hi,
I had surgery when I was 22 , I'm actually turning 23 this Saturday. I had the lapband in feburary and I have lost 35 pounds so far. I am getting my masters' degree so I can tell you a few tricks about post-surgery life in school. Let me know if you have any questions
