I was just wondering if anyone had tried diet pills after surgery? im 10 months out as of today and I havent lost anything for over a month. This is really depressing me and i was wondering if diet pills would work with the hunger problems. Has anyone tried them? Ive lost 98 lbs but I just want to get to my goal weight for once in my life and Im feeling like that will never happen. This is also causing me to make bad food choices because im so sad the scale isnt moving anymore.

you've plateau-ed. go back to basics and watch what you're eating. dont take diet pills.

Hi i know how you feel, i was a slow loser. i barely lost 24 lbs the 1st 2 months of surgery i thought the weight would come off easier.

but it will come off i promisse you may not be size 4 or 6 when at your 1 year out but that doesnt mean you can still lose the weight!!! WLS is justa a tool is not magic so every body reacts and every person learns how to use that tool in a diferent way so  keep excercising and eating healthy you will get there with hard work.

and dont make bad chooses just cuz you are on a stall or something rember all the weight you have lost so far ( Its a lot and is AWESOME!!!!!!!) you dont wanna gain it back!! don´t be silly! you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

im 2 year outS  n i need to lose more weight n yes sometimes i feel like is never gonna come off but i keep workig my ass off. i k now if i wouldnt do this i woulda have gained all my weight back already cuz i gain pretty fast. so don´t give for granded that you are not gonna gain weight cuz you can. so if you think that's it and you wont lose more (which is not the case) work hard to mantain your weight loss! and if you wanna lose some more you can do it!! the weight loss stops when you want it to stop. it may take a lil harder but will come off.
believe you can do it! this time is gonna be diferent!!!!!!!
keep postin here this will keep you on track!.

remember you are not alone!!! there is just a few that drop the weight like magic most of us have to work hard nothing is easy but its so worth it soo keep it up!!!
HUGS!!!!!!!!

As someone who has/is battling diet pill addiction, please do not go down this avenue.  It's not worth it.

There is a great book I'm reading called "The Spark".  If you have ever been on sparkpeople.com the book is an off shoot of the website.  It's mainly centered around weight loss but it can help with other goals as well.  It takes us back to basics and shows us how to create small, workable goals to reach for and to celebrate the small victories.  98lbs is incredible....how could you be disappointed with that?  Go check this out from the library if you get a chance.

Please don't get discouraged.  WLS is not magic but it does and did help you.  I'm at the point now where I can't lose weight on just surgery along and I have to fight for every scale drop I see (and deal with the scale going up too).  I figure that's just what people have to do to maintain weight, surgery or not...and it's not easy, it's really hard.  You aren't alone though, just take today and make it work for you.  Don't worry about tomorrow.  Focus on the now and what you can do today to get back into your healthy lifestyle!

Good luck!

dont do it!!!

if wls has taught me anything its-- PATIENCE! like really friends and family have noticed this in the past year.

you can always get back on the wagon with your eating choices, and exercise! i promise you! we all fall off, but its just as easy to start using your tool again very very very easily i promise you!

ive stalled for a month before, it was a very frustrating time, but i got through it.

if you take the pills, it wont do anything but hurt you more.

your considering taking a huge heath risk.

good luck and let us know if you need anything else! you can pm me if you need to talk.
