Having a bad couple of days
I dont know what my deal is, but ive recently been out of my daily pattern and have not been eating so well. I had 3 chicken nuggets from mcdonalds yesterday...stupid i know. But I'm terrified my surgery isn't working. I havent lost in 2 weeks, and have been SO frusterated with it. It makes it easier to make bad food decisions bc whats the pay off ya know? But then i feel so bad about myself after I do it, and its all I focus on. I am not having problems eating. Is this bad? Ive only gotten sick once and it was after eating a rib. Just some advice and encouragement would be good. I feel like ive failed...I think this comes form past diet life and old me but oldme didnt get thrown in the trash with my extra stomach. Ugh please help friends!!!!
Here I go......
I want you to know this is my first time posting, I had my surgery (Band) back on Feb 25th Everything was going great.. then I hit a low.. Didn’t lose any weight for a few weeks, I was in the same boat of you, looking for answers, I was eating I was working out...still wouldn’t move. then It picked back up and started again for another week.... It is a constant mental game.. You can do it, just like each of us are doing it.. It is a battle that you have started and are winning day by day.
Everyone has bad day(s). You have to pull up your boot straps and remember how good you felt the first of the pounds come off the scale and work through it.
You are not a failer, no one is. So bring that chin backup, put a smile on your face, just as you did when you first saw progress. Forget about the past. Look forward, plan your meals ahead of time instead of waiting for the last min. So you don’t need the convince food. Figure out how to stay out of that situation.
I hope this helps, Stay strong, Stay Positive, Keep a smile!
YOU CAN DO IT!

I really appreciate you guys! I think part of my problem was that I was seeing my team at Weight Wise almost weekly down to the couple of days before surgery and then I wont see them till Im six weeks out (that will be the 29th of April) and I kind of feel lost and stuck out here by myself. I just fee like a crazy person sometimes lol Thanks for letting me know I"m not alone!
Well I did not go off plan and gained (bloated), so I went UP a few pounds... mini stalls (a TRUE stall last WEEKS not days or even 1 week) and ups/downs from water weight retention/release happen. Do not let it be an excuse to go off-plan! Of course, with our WLS we can't do too much harm this early on.... and trying to be perfect 100% of the time is defeatest, but now is the time to train ourselves to think rationally about small gains, losses and stalls so that when it gets to the point where it is easier to eat more, etc, our thinking toward and relationship with food is vastly improved.
That said, no matter how good your mindset, if you eat a high carb diet the result is usually unstable blood sugar, so that is NEVER a good idea, your body will send you a signal that it is time to eat no matter how small your stomach is if your blood sugar drops below a certain point.

(Lost slowly and painfully from 355 to 275 from 2007-2009, then started gaining again before scheduling surgery! Best thing I ever did! :D)
