Newly Banded - Introduction
Hi Everyone,
I'm 26 and just got banded last week. I've been thinking about WLS for a really long time but it was finally the right time to do it.
I live and work in the DC metro area, love the outdoors (especially doing stuff with dogs and horses), and...hmm, what else? I have lost 22 lbs so far since starting down the lap band path - which is really hard to believe cause the most weight I've ever lost period was maybe 30 lbs and it took a whole summer at fat camp where they ran us ragged
Anyway, I'm happy to be here and look forward to meeting, gaining support, and supporting everyone. It's great to do this so young and I think we're all very lucky to have been able to start our new lives so early compared to many just beginning it decades later.

Welcome. I'm also 26 and was banded on 3/2. So far so good here with me. Congrats on your loss so far, keep it up!
I too love my horses. Right now we have 6, hoping to downsize to 4 before the fall. I can't wait to get back in the saddle (ie. whenever the weather cooperates). The blue roan App in my avatar is my 50# reward.. I can't wait to hop on and start working with her.
I agree that I'm glad I did this now, instead of waiting. I have been trying to lose for years and knew I could not be 30 looking like this.
